Petrol prices. Offered for petrol and diesel cars. About 6 hours in the workshop.

  • Price agreed first. Every job is quoted before we start. Anything extra, we call you and wait for a yes.
  • 24-month warranty. Parts and labour, 24 months or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first.
  • Keeps your car’s warranty. Parts to manufacturer spec and a stamped service record, so the factory warranty stands.

What we do

A slipping clutch shows up as revs climbing without the car speeding up, usually on a hill or when overtaking. A juddering pull-away or a pedal that bites near the top are the other signs. None of them gets better on its own.

Replacing a clutch means taking the gearbox off, so it is a full-day drop-off job. The price on the quote covers the kit, the labour and the road test. Diesel cars add a check of the dual-mass flywheel while the gearbox is out; if it needs replacing too, we call you with a price first.

Most hybrids and all electric cars have no clutch, so the quote does not offer the job for them.

“The dealer wanted over £1,300. Fernley did it for £859 with a dual-mass flywheel check, gave me the courtesy car, and the van was ready at half three as promised.”
